Visit to Moffett Field

This past week at Moffett Field there have been some WWII planes on display so we decided to go visit. I guess they aren't just on display, you could ride in them too if you wanted to pay ($400 for a ride in the B-17 and $3000 if you wanted a ride in the little fighter--see last photo) Anyway, we just went to look. It was pretty cool to see those old planes and see inside. We got to see a couple of them take off and land as they were giving rides to those who forked out the big bucks. It was FREEZING there that day and you notice our boys who are "too cool" to wear sweatshirts. Let me tell you--they were more than cool...

Very cool. Price for a ride is a little steep but, even just seeing (hearing) them fly would be awesome.

Hey, It's fun to see your pictures. Our families are growing up too fast. Wish you could go to the reunion. We were looking forward to seeing you. Anyway, I'm a bit behind, but you can check out our blog at dgarrettfamily.blogspot.com.

Wow! $4,000 a ride. And we thought commercial air travel was expensive. How long did the rides last?
